This policy covers thymetoplate.com.au. It explains what information I collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Joining the mailing list
The only information this site collects from you is what you type into the subscription form: your email address, and your name if you choose to give one. The name is optional.
When you subscribe, I also record:
- the date and time you subscribed
- which page you subscribed from
- the exact wording you agreed to
- whether you confirmed your subscription, and when
- if you unsubscribe, the date you did
The wording is saved because it's the record of what you agreed to. If I ever change it, your record still shows the words you were shown.
What I don't collect
I don't record your IP address or your browser details, at any point. I don't use them, so I don't keep them.
I don't collect any health information through this website. Nothing on this site asks for your age, weight, height, medical history or anything similar. If that ever changes, it will be behind a login, it will be obvious, and this policy will say so first.
What I use the mailing list for
To send you recipes, meal plans, blog posts covering nutrition topics and news, and offers about Thyme to Plate's products and services — the things you agreed to when you signed up.
I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Where your information is stored
In a database hosted by a third-party provider in Sydney, Australia. This is the main copy.
With Kit, in the United States. Kit is the service that sends the emails, and it holds your email address and name (if you gave one) there. This means your information is stored overseas. Kit has its own privacy policy covering what it does with the data it holds, and its data processing terms are published too.
How long I keep your information
As long as you're subscribed.
If you unsubscribe, I keep the record that you subscribed and then unsubscribed. That's the proof that you agreed at the time, which I have to be able to show under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). I won't send you anything after you unsubscribe.
Unsubscribing
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, no account, no questions. It works on every email I ever send you.
Getting your information removed
If you'd like your details deleted rather than just unsubscribed, get in touch through the contact page and I'll remove them. You can also ask for the information I hold about you.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, the updated version goes on this page. Significant changes to what I collect or how I use it will be told to subscribers by email.
